Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes guest talk on ‘Business Intelligence’

Mangaluru, Mar 13: The department of computer science, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a guest lecture on ‘Business Intelligence’ on March 12 for computer science students. Akanksha Jadhav, analytics engineer from Riskonnect Inc, Mangaluru, was the resource person. Seementhini Fernandes, assistant professor, department of computer science extended a warm welcome to the gathering and introduced the resource person.

Akanksha delivered an overview of the foundational principles of business intelligence, shedding light on the complete BI cycle that involves data collection, data analysis, data visualization, and decision making. The session not only included an illuminating demonstration of multiple BI tools but also delved into the exploration of various job roles within the field of business intelligence. Real-world examples were shared, providing practical insights, and Akanksha guided the students through an exploration of potential careers in BI, adding a valuable dimension to the session.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Vyshnavi K, third BSc expressing gratitude for the enriching and informative session. The guest lecture not only enhanced the students' understanding of business intelligence but also provided valuable perspectives on its practical applications and career opportunities.
