Bengaluru, Mar 14: Former BJP chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, who has been chosen as the party candidate from Haveri Lok Sabha constituency, on Thursday taunted the ruling Congress party for its lack of candidates and ministers refusing to contest fearing defeat.

Bommai, called on former chief minister and senior party leader B S Yediyurappa, who is the Central Parliamentary Election Committee member, at his residence in Bengaluru and sought the latter’s blessings.

Speaking to media persons after meeting Yediyurappa, Bommai said the veteran BJP leader has blessed me and has promised to campaign for me in the elections.

The BJP leader said the party has selected former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s son-in-law Dr C N Manjunath as its candidate from Bengaluru Rural constituency, and said the JDS leader’s son was known for helping lakhs of people. BJP is a party which recognises service, he said.

Bommai also praised the selection of the scion of the erstwhile Mysuru royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraj Wadiyar as the BJP candidate from Mysuru and said it has given the right message to the entire South Karnataka.

The BJP leader ridiculed Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC Chief D K Shivakumar for claiming that 3 sitting BJP MPs and many BJP MLAs were in touch with him for joining Congress and pointed out the Congress party is finding it difficult to choose candidates and its ministers are refusing to contest fearing defeat.

Bommai: why should minister contest lok sabha, congress has enough educated candidates to contest election unlike BJP where all their candidates are bought from Congress. BJP gives ticket to minister's because they are not confident of their candidates winning more than a dozen sitting MP of lok sabha candidates refused to contest and Bommai this is your last chance you are surely going to loose and enter in BJP margdarshan mandal

All BJP Karnataka still hoping for Modi magic -- hence campaigning again in Karnataka -- despite last assembly elections --BJP lost badly -- there were many visits by PM MODI -- at enormous costs - -road rallies -- inauguration. of incomplete projects etc -- Now we have had various failures -- for immediate memory -- massive failures during COVID -- very many deaths which could have been avoided -- as sudden lock down of overnight announced despite warnings -- China closed from January 1 st - 2020 -- we can blame CHINA but we suffered by not taking early action -- -- India under MODI was busy in elections till march -- then very many put to hardships -- no arrangements -- trains etc. -- many died on railway tracks -- no food -- no oxygen etc etc. -- we saw playing with peacocks -- ----- now all forgotten -- another disaster was demonetizations -- ALL FORGOTTEN -- recent MANIPUR -- INFLATION HIGH -- FUEL HIGH ETC -- no jobs -- BUT GODI MEDIA SILENT-- only AMBANI celebrations --

Who speaks? The person unsure of winning loses. Bommai was a walking dead CM of Karnataka. At least Siddaji is moving at this age and speaking to people. Had BJP done enough for Bangalore, today the city would not have faced water shortage. They languished in fame, false promises. Today he is so jealous that by hook or by crook wants to defame congress. Irrespective of whether congress wins or loses, that is the party which gave us freedom from British Rule? Where were you 76 years ago?

BJP is carefully nominating Senior leaders and considering caste, winnability factor on allotting seats as they well aware that in Karnataka they have lost peoples trust. Divide and rule, Hindu/Muslims hate crimes, 40% commission, mass unemployment created since 10 years affected their chances of winning.

Constipated and worn out. BJP faces tell the story. They are mentally harassed and scared. Yes, publicly they have to show their loyalty to Mo-Shah, or else ED will be knocking doors. BJP leadership let them loot as much possible and they have enough material to put them behind bars, when needed. Now, speaking against leadership is letting go all the illegitimate wealth, to be content however, they have act like puppets or slaves. The limbo there is speaking for itself on faces.
