Kundapur: Formal airing of 89.6 FM radio station inaugurated at Bhandarkars Arts and Science College

Kundapur, Mar 15: The formal airing of Radio Kundapur 89.6 fm radio centre of Bhandarkars Arts and Science College, Kundapur. Dr HS Ballal, pro chancellor MAHE and president of academy of general education Manipal inaugurated the formal airing of the radio station.

Speaking on the occasion he said, “This community radio station will be highly beneficial for the community. This will provide an opportunity for both the students and the community members to learn deep into the rural culture, fishing and farming."

Varadaraya Pai, secretary, academy of general education, Manipal speaking on the occasion said, "Radio Kundapur is the radio station aimed at bringing out the talents of students by giving information and understanding about art, literature and fishing. All students should be actively involved in it. We should popularize the centre together with you all.”

K Shantaram Prabhu, senior trustee Bhandarkars Arts and Science College Kundapur presided over the programme. Rajendra Tholar, Sadananda Chatra, U S Shenoy, Prajnesh Prabhu, Dr Umesh Bhat, Amaranath Shetty, A B Shetty, Shivaram Shetty, Abhinandan Shetty, Devdas Kamath, Jaikar Shetty, Bhandarkars Arts and Science college principal Shubhakar Acharya, PU College principal GM Gonde and others were present on the occasion.

Shubhakar Acharya, principal welcomed the gathering. Pre university division pricnipal G M Gonde proposed the vote of thanks. Jyothi Saligrama compered the programme.
