Bantwal, Mar 15: “The safety of Tulu Nadu and its growth is my intention,” said BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Captain Brijesh Chowta. He visited the Bantwal BJP office on Friday and held a coordination committee meeting with the MLAs and other party leaders.

“I have shouldered various responsibilities in the party during the last 10 years and I saw from close distance the sacrifices and hard work of party workers. I am determined to strengthen PM Narendra Modi who wants to convert the country as a world leader by 2047. I will be with you responding to the pains and suffering of the party workers. I know the challenges and the feelings of party workers in Bantwal. This election is a huge battle. Let us all work as one and win it,” he said.

Block BJP president Devappa Poojary presided over the meeting. Popular MLA Rajesh Naik said that "We cannot remain quiet even though victory is certain. The work of the party workers should be doubled. Visit every grama during the upcoming days. Let us make Narendra Modi the prime minister for the third time and Brijesh Chowta as the MP,” he said.

Devappa Poojary in his keynote address said that Nalin Kumar Kateel had won with a margin of 31,000 votes last time (Bantwal constituency). “We should work for the victory of Brijesh Chowta with a lead of 50,000 votes this time,” he said.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kothary, district BJP vice-president, Bantwal mandala in-charge Pooja Pai, district BJP chief secretary Yathish Arvar, Harikrishna Bantwal, state leaders Vikas Puttur, district in-charge Sandesh Shetty, block secretary Ravish Shetty, Dombaya Arala, Chennappa Kotian and others were on the dais.
