Election Code of Conduct: Check-posts set up in DK, Udupi; documents must for cash, valuables

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru/Udupi (MS)

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 18: As the Election Code of Conduct is implemented, the police department has intensified security measures. It is strongly advised to carry appropriate documents when transporting cash or valuables.

For cash amounts exceeding Rs 50,000, individuals must provide necessary documentation to checking officers, detailing the origin and destination of the cash. If the cash was withdrawn from a bank or ATM, a slip or relevant passbook must be presented. Failure to provide relevant documents may result in the filing of an FIR.

During the transfer of money for events such as weddings or business-related transactions, it is recommended to carry the invitation card or relevant business documents.

Currently, 23 check-posts are operational in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, including nine interstate, seven inter-district, and seven local checkposts located strategically at various points including Charmadi, Naravi, Beluvayi-Karkala, Bappanadu, Maroor, Todar-Edapadavu, Kulur, Mukka, Adamkudru, Nanthoor, Kottara, Talapady, Mudipu, Nettila Padavu, Anekal, Salethur, Nellikatte, Panaje, Eshwaramangala, Saradka, Jalsoor, Sampaje, and Gundya. Additionally, mobile squads are active in key areas of the district.

A new check-post has been established at Hejamady, on the border of DK and Udupi districts. Despite efforts by vehicle drivers to avoid this check-post via the Palimaru-Karnire stretch, police are preparing to set up another check-post near Palimaru Math to enforce security measures effectively.

Strict vehicle checks are being conducted near Dali of Kollur, particularly for vehicles traveling to Byndoor and Kundapur via Kollur. The police team, led by Kollur SI Jayashree, is ensuring thorough inspections.

Rubbish. SBI clearly violated Supreme Court order on disclosing electrol bond details. After stern warning from SC, again it tried to do some eyewash. All know it is clearly protecting Modi led BJP, which benefited immensely from black and corrupt money. These gates are stop opposition parties, nothing else. BJP wants public to think, oh wah, BJP is doing so much to stop corruption. Public know in reality, BJP is corruption.
