Sullia, Mar 25: Police and the Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) are currently gathering information regarding four individuals suspected to be Naxals visiting a house situated on the edge of a forest in Ainekidu village, under the Subramanya gram panchayat of Kadaba taluk, on Saturday evening.

According to reports, two women and two men arrived at the house, located on the forest's periphery, around 6:30 pm on Saturday. They spent approximately 30 to 45 minutes at the house, partaking in food and taking rice and sugar before departing.

On Sunday, a team comprising DySP Raghavendra of ANF, DySP Arun Nagegowda of Puttur sub-division, Subramanya police station SI Kartik, and other personnel visited the house and its vicinity to gather further information.

It is reported that on Saturday evening, during light drizzle, the suspected Naxalites arrived from the forest to a house situated on the forest's edge. There, they met with an individual and engaged in conversation. Expressing a desire to visit a house by the roadside, they ultimately went to another house due to the presence of a solar fence at the intended location.

The suspected Naxals were dressed in ordinary attire and wore hand bands. They leaned their guns against the wall and questioned the occupants of the house about their awareness of their identity. They also mentioned that their associates had gone to a house at Koojimale estate shop to purchase groceries. Discussions on various matters ensued, with the Naxals expressing concerns about being spotted by a passer-by, prompting them to refrain from lingering.

The ANF and police teams continued their search on Sunday, employing drone cameras in the combing operation. The investigation remains ongoing.
