Siddaramaiah urges Goa CM Sawant to cease demolitions, rehabilitate displaced Kannadigas

Bengaluru, Apr 14: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his “deep concern” over the demolition of the homes belonging to Kannadiga settlers in Sangolda in Goa.

The Congress Chief Minister has appealed to his Goa BJP counterpart Dr Pramod P Sawant to stop further demolitions immediately until alternatives are provided.

In a message posted in X, the Chief Minister has also appealed to the Goa Chief Minister to ensure that all the displaced individuals receive adequate rehabilitation.

“It is crucial that we uphold the dignity and stability of every affected family,” the Chief Minister said.
