Mangaluru: 'Technova-2024' final year project exhibition held at SJEC

Mangaluru, May 2: Technova-2024, final year project exhibition was held at SJEC, Mangaluru on Thursday, May 2. Technova 2024, the exposition of projects of outgoing Josephites, is meant for encouraging the creativity and technical talents of the students through their final year projects. A great opportunity to expose their creativity, technical knowledge, teamwork, communication skills, acumen for research and development activities, to their peer group, budding engineers, faculty and the general community.

The event was held from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and was hosted by the convener of the programme, Joel D'Mello, assistant professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, briefed the guests about the exhibition.

Dr Rio D’Souza, principal of SJEC welcomed the gathering. He provided an overview of the exhibition and highlighted the importance of final year BE projects. He emphasized the need for students to use their knowledge and creativity to develop innovative projects that could have a positive impact on society.

Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director, SJEC, Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, assistant director, SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice principal, SJEC and heads of six engineering department along with the department project coordinators were present during the programme. Twenty experts from different Industry and Technical Institution evaluated 150+ projects carried out in six engineering disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and adjudged best projects of the year, second prize, third prize and innovative project prize in each disciplines.
