Kaup, May 19: A pickup collided with a stationary truck parked by the side of the road at Koppalangadi on Saturday evening.

The pickup was traveling from Mangaluru to Udupi when its driver, Latesh, lost control and hit the truck from behind, resulting in serious injuries.

The pickup was badly mangled in the collision. Local residents rushed Latesh to the hospital. Kaup SI Abdul Khader and his staff visited the scene and registered a case.
