Pre-monsoon rain weakens in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 28: Pre-monsoon rain that lashed Dakshina Kannada and Udupi last week has weakened since Sunday.

On Monday, cloudy weather prevailed. Some parts received drizzle in the morning. However, as the day progressed, cloudy weather with high humidity persisted. In the evening, some rural areas experienced slight drizzle.

A yellow alert remains in effect in the coastal districts for Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a possibility that some parts of Dakshina Kannada district will receive rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Udupi district might also receive light rain, according to the weather department's forecast.

The maximum temperature recorded in Mangaluru was 32.1°C, while the minimum was 26.2°C.

    both districts have got sufficient rains last week...now monsoon will be heavy and all issues will be resolved by almighty as just and honest Lord Siddaraya is ruling....
