Udupi, May 29: The recent alteration of a party member's photo in the Congress promotion for the MLC election has sparked widespread criticism and trolling.
In the run-up to the MLC election for the Southern Graduate Constituency, Congress faced embarrassment when the image of BJP member Uday Kumar Shetty from Mangaluru was mistakenly used instead of Muniyalu Uday Kumar Shetty.
A six-page promotional letter was crafted to endorse Congress candidate Dr K K Manjunath. Unfortunately, the sixth page included photos of all party members, including the erroneous one. It is reported that the mix-up occurred as the photo was sourced from Google.
The circulation of the letter in large numbers has fuelled controversy, making the incident viral among the public.
