Mumbai, Oct 22 (IANS): Stating that the reality show "Bigg Boss 5" is insulting the 'Marathi Manoos', Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray said that the participants should apologise to them.
In an episode that was telecast Friday night, actor Amar Upadhyay on failing to successfully finish a task given by 'Bigg Boss', was deputed as a personal servant for other housemates - Shakti Kapoor and Siddharth Bhardwaj.
Kapoor and Bhardwaj named him P.K. Lele, which is a Maharashtrian surname.
Thackeray objected to this episode. "Kapoor and Bhardwaj should apologise to the Marathi-speaking population for the insult," he told reporters here.
"Just because Lele is a Maharashtrian surname, does it mean all servants are Maharashtrians," questioned Thackeray.
"They (Kapoor and Bhardwaj) should apologise for the same within 24 hours or they will have to face the consequences," he added.
Thackeray, however, said that he would not act in haste and give any publicity to 'Bigg Boss', Shakti Kapoor and Amar Upadhyay.
