Udupi: 2022 Indrali murder case – Accused acquitted

Udupi, Jun 21: The accused in the murder case that occurred on July 21, 2022, near the bridge at Nagabana in the vicinity of Indrali railway station were acquitted by the court.

The second additional district and sessions court acquitted the accused due to the prosecution's failure to prove the crime.

It was alleged that the accused, Vignesh Kutty and Naveen Kumar, bludgeoned Kumar to death after he allegedly abused their mother. The police arrested both accused and submitted a chargesheet to the court after an inquiry.

Justice Dinesh Hegde acquitted the accused. Lawyer Cherkadi Akhil B. Hegde argued for the defense.
