Udupi, July 21: Two men have allegedly murdered a person for insulting their mother. The incident happened on the road to Indrali railway station, NH 169A on Thursday evening. The man who was murdered has been identified as Kumar (32), a native of Tamil Nadu.
Kutty and Navin were walking back after consuming liquor at a bar when Kumar(32) in a drunken stupor hurled expletives at the mother of Navin and Kutty resulting in heated arguments between them.
In the fight that ensued later, Navin and Kutty hit on the head of Kumar with a wooden log and Kumar died on the spot. His mortal remains are kept at the morgue of the district government hospital.
Police personnel from Udupi city police station have visited the spot. A case in this connection is yet to be registered.
