Kundapur, July 4: Continuous rainfall over the past three days has resulted in widespread flooding, affecting numerous homes and agricultural areas.

Floodwaters have breached into the southern part of Saokuru Kucchetti, under the jurisdiction of the grama panchayat. Reports indicate that around 12 houses in this area have been inundated, severely impacting daily life.

Responding to the crisis, Rashmi, assistant commissioner of Kundapura sub-division, and Shobha Lakshmi, tahsildar, visited the affected site.

Authorities have arranged immediate boat services to facilitate the relocation of residents. Officials from the gram panchayat, PDOs, and grama karanikas have also assessed the situation on the ground, as confirmed by GP member Surendra Shetty.
