Puttur: Young girl dies due to illness

Puttur, Jul 10: Supreetha (16), a resident of Perike in Shishila village, passed away on Tuesday July 9 due to illness.

Supreetha, the daughter of Krishnappa Malekudiya and Sunanda, had been suffering from fever for the past two days and was receiving treatment.

On Tuesday, her health deteriorated severely, and she was immediately taken to Uppinangady Hospital for medication. However, she lost consciousness on the way back home. Upon reaching the hospital again, doctors declared her dead.

Supreetha is survived by her father, mother, and brother.

    What a sad news.Young girl with only two days fever ?In rainy days this is everywhere .Fever headache etc.The question is where they took the girl to treatment first?Many go to local doctors many dnt diagnose properly.May be she had any brain fever? ,It can when not immediately treated worsen the situation.Heartfelt sympathy to family.May her soul rest in peace.

    RIP! Dengue is widely prevalent during the monsoons; initial symptoms of high fever and malaise mimicking flu like illness; if not diagnosed and treated emergently leads to rapid deterioration of platelet count and multiorgan failure including affecting the brain!

    Parents' loss is unimaginable... After nurturing the child for 16 long years and only to see her getting snatched away is heartbreaking... Fever is a very dangerous condition if without usual symptoms and patient must get hospitalized without any delay... However when time comes all explanations, ifs and buts are of no use... RIP to the young soul...
