Mangaluru: Rain intensity decreases in DK – Orange Alert from Jul 12-15

Mangaluru, Jul 12: The intensity of the monsoon reduced in Dakshina Kannada (DK) on Thursday. Good sunshine was observed throughout the day, with only some parts of the district, including Mangaluru city, receiving showers in the evening and night.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has declared an orange alert from July 12 to 15 in coastal Karnataka, indicating the possibility of the monsoon gaining strength once again. Fishermen have been warned of violent seas from Mangaluru to Mulky and Kaup to Byndoor, with waves expected to reach heights of 2 to 2.5 meters.

The maximum temperature recorded in Mangaluru on Thursday was 29.5°C, while the minimum was 23.8°C.
