Kasargod: 53-yr-old woman electrocuted at home

Kasaragod, Jul 16: Tragedy struck Kudreppadi near Kumble Seethangoli as a 53-year-old homemaker, Hemavathi, lost her life due to electrocution inside her own home.

The incident occurred Monday night when Hemavathi, wife of Kudreppadi Gopala Gatty, attempted to turn on the light in an outdoor shed where she was preparing food. She worked as a cook at an interlock manufacturing unit in Seethangoli Keenya.

Local authorities from the Vidyanagar police conducted an inspection at the scene, and Hemavathi's body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

This tragic event underscores the importance of electrical safety measures, especially within household environments, and serves as a poignant reminder of the risks involved in everyday activities.
