Kundapur, Jul 17: "Hotel workers encounter numerous obstacles and challenges, and it is crucial that they utilize the opportunities provided by hotel owners to advance in their lives. Justice and fair treatment can only be achieved through organization. Without unity, there is no strength. It is the responsibility of hotel owners to offer hotel workers the chance to lead dignified and successful lives. The contribution of workers is invaluable to the success of hotel businesses," stated B Appanna Hegde, administrator of Basrur Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Udupi district unit reformation event organized by the Karnataka Hotel Workers Association, Bengaluru, at the White House auditorium in Kundapur on Wednesday, July 17.

He further expressed his concern over recent incidents where Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (I-T) officers have been targeting hardworking individuals instead of ministers, legislators, and affluent people. He emphasized that hotel workers should unite to draw the government’s attention to their demands and secure the benefits they deserve.

The event was presided over by Satish Jogi, the state president of the Karnataka Hotel Workers Association.

During the occasion, hotel workers' children who excelled in SSLC and PUC exams were honored. A membership campaign was also conducted, and members shared their thoughts. Kundapur labor inspector Vijendra, honorary president Sharath Shetty Bidkalkatte, state vice-president Sukumar Shetty, Udupi district president Krishna M Kulkarni, district honorary president Nagaraj Shetty Gantihole, Dakshina Kannada district president Mohan, vice-president Puneet Belve, working president Gopi Shetty, secretary Usha, Shravan, Chandra Nayari, Srujan, Purushottam Poojari, Shekhar Kulal, Vanitha, Revathi, Ganesh Ulluru, and others were present.
