Kasaragod, Jul 17: The body of a young man, who had been missing, was found in a well near his neighbour's house. The deceased, Yateesh (36), a resident of Perla Adka Abraje, had reportedly gone missing earlier.

Yateesh's father, Ishwar Naik, had passed away on Monday, July 15, in the morning, followed by Yateesh going missing. Ishwar Naik's wife Parvathi had previously passed away, and Ishwar Naik had been suffering from illness. Yateesh was known to take care of his father in his difficult times.

On Monday morning around 3:30 am, Ishwar Naik passed away, and by 8 am, Yateesh was reported missing. During the final rites of Ishwar Naik, Yateesh was not present. Yateesh's mobile phone and slippers were found at home. Later in the evening on Tuesday, the police received information about Yateesh's body being found in a well near his house, where no one resides.

The Fire and Rescue Department team arrived and retrieved the body. The local police conducted further investigations. Concerns have been raised over Yateesh's possible suicide due to the grief of his father's demise.
