Bantwal, Jul 18: The water level in the Netravati river reached 6.6 meters on Wednesday morning due to incessant rains. By the evening, it had risen further to 7.3 meters, marking the highest level for this monsoon season so far.
Six families from Aladka have been relocated to safer places due to the likelihood of flooding.
As heavy rains lashed the ghat section, the water level in the Netravati river increased considerably.
On Wednesday, Bantwal received copious amounts of rain, although the intensity was lower compared to the previous two days. No significant damage has been reported.
