Kasargod: Incessant rains - DC declares holiday for schools on July 19

Kasargod, Jul 14: Following heavy rains, district collector K Impashekhar has declared a holiday for schools in the district on Friday, July 19.

The DC has announced that all schools under the state, CBSE, ICSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadis will remain closed on with heavy rainfall expected to continue for the next 24 hours.

However, this holiday does not extend to colleges and they will contiunue to operate as usual.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds has been lashing the district for the past 24 hours. Low-lying areas have been inundated, and flooding has occurred in several places. The heavy rain and strong winds have disrupted the power supply. Meanwhile, the district collector has informed that there will be no changes in the pre-scheduled examinations.
