Udupi, Jul 31: Due to high rainfall, a holiday has been declared in Udupi, Kaup, Karkala and Hebri taluks for schools and pre-university colleges on Wednesday, July 31.

Holiday has been declared for anganwadis, primary and high schools and pre university (up to class 12) colleges including government, aided and unaided private schools.

The disaster management authority has taken certain precautions as heavy rain has been pounding the districts for the last few days.

This precautionary measure aims to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the severe weather conditions affecting the region.

    Better to start Rain 😁 Holidays so youngsters can venture outdoors to waterfalls, scenic places, malls, pubs etc 😉 which will increase their confidence to do very well in life!!

    Here it is raining so heavily from 10 AM. I think it's an appropriate decision. Tomorrow also there may be a holiday if rain continues till the night.
