Udupi: Attempted break-in by four masked men in Brahmagiri

Udupi, Aug 2: Four masked men attempted to break into an apartment in Brahmagiri.

According to the available CCTV footage, four men with cloth masks are seen trying to force their way into a closed apartment. They were unsuccessful in their attempt and left the scene.

In the early hours of August 1, around 3:00 to 3:30 a.m., the masked individuals, armed with rods, broke into several unoccupied apartments, causing significant damage in their search for valuables.

The intruders, caught on CCTV footage, were seen entering an empty flat belonging to a senior citizen couple who had travelled to Mumbai a week earlier, sources said.

It is reported that they attempted robbery in a total of three apartment buildings in the same locality.

A complaint has been filed in Udupi town police station regarding the attempt to robbery.

As per the complaint filed by Godwin Karkada, president of owners association of the Nikki apartments situated in Brahmagiri, unknown miscreants had tried to barge into a locked house of the apartment, in between 11 pm of July 31 and 9 am of August 1.

A case in this regard has been filed in Udupi town police station.
