Hill collapse closes Mani-Mysuru highway in Puttur

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Aug 2: A hill collapsed on the Puttur Bypass road at Bappalige early Friday morning. The landslide caused mud to fall on the highway, cutting off both ends of the road.

A Devi temple and a nearby house are in danger due to the mudslide.

An alternate route has been arranged through Puttur city for those traveling to Madikeri and Mysuru, as the Mani-Mysuru highway is currently inaccessible.

Fortunately, there were no vehicles or people on the road at the time of the collapse.
