New Delhi, Nov 8: Living legend and 'God' of Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar crossed yet another milestone on Tuesday November 8, when he became the first cricketer to cross 15,000 runs in Tests.

Tendulkar reached the magical figure when he took a single off leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo, during the third day of the first test against West Indies at the Firoz Shah Kotla staudium here. He was on 27 before scoring the single. At the end of the day, he was batting on 33, with Rahul Dravid at the other end. India need another 124 runs to win, with two days remaining in the test.

The milestone was received with much applause from his teammates, the opposition and the crowd. Apart from Dravid, West Indies cricketers too walked up to Tendulkar and congratulated him.

The batting maestro acknowledged the applause and the cheers by raising his bat and looking up to the sky.

Tendulkar is on the threshold of another milestone, his 100th international century, which has been much-awaited by the cricket world.

The 38-year-old is currently playing his 182nd test match, and is the world's most prolific batsman in tests and ODIs, with 51 test centuries and 48 ODI hundreds. Overall, he has scored 18,111 runs in the shorter format.
