Mangaluru, Aug 8: In a grand ceremony at the Bishop’s House recently, the diocese of Mangalore honoured prominent Catholic leaders and achievers. The event saw the felicitation of Stany Alvares, advocate Anil Sequeira, and Roshan Lobo by the bishop and members of the diocesan pastoral parishad.

Joachim Stany Alvares officially assumed the role of president of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy for the 2024-2027 term at a recent ceremony held at the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) building.

The felicitation programme was part of the diocesan pastoral parishad meeting, which saw the attendance of diocesan officials, priests, nuns, and lay leaders.
