Mangaluru: Woman missing from Panambur, police seek public help

Mangaluru, Aug 20: A 49-year-old woman, identified as Lakshmibai Paratagauda, has been reported missing from her residence near the Coast Guard office in Panambur village, Mangaluru taluk.

According to a complaint lodged by her husband, Basavaraj Paratagauda, Lakshmibai left home on June 20, 2025 stating she was heading to Urwa Store for daily wage work. However, she did not return home that day. Despite extensive efforts to trace her, there has been no success so far. Based on the complaint, Panambur police registered a case under Crime No. 64/2025 for a missing woman on June 21, 2025.

Description of the missing woman

• Name & Age: Lakshmibai Paratagauda, 49 years
• Husband: Basavaraj Paratagauda
• Height & Build: Approximately 5 feet tall, stout build
• Complexion & Hair: Dark complexion, black and white mixed hair
• Clothing: Yellow-red saree, green blouse, wearing earrings (bendole)
• Languages known: Kannada
• Other details: She was in the habit of visiting Urwa Store daily in search of work, from where she would be called for daily wage jobs. On June 20, she went as usual but failed to return.

    Kindly check service buses and its footages etc possible to trace back if she lost route or something and has no money to return.
