Udupi: 52-year-old man dies from Leptospirosis in Parkala Vithalwadi

Udupi, Aug 8: A 52-year-old resident of Parkala Vithalwadi has tragically passed away due to leptospirosis, commonly known as rat fever.

The person, identified as Subrahmanya Naik, initially developed a fever and was admitted to a private hospital in Manipal, where he was diagnosed with the illness. Despite receiving medical treatment, Naik succumbed to the disease on the night of August 6.

He is survived by his wife, son, and other relatives and friends.

Naik was known for his skills in various trades, including setting up shamianas (tents) and installing cables in Parkala.
