Mangaluru, Aug 9: A capacity building and training program on vigilance administration was inaugurated in city on Friday, August 9, by secretary, Central Vigilance Commission P Daniel along with Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, MD, MRPL and Ganesh S Bhat, CVO, MRPL.

The two-day event hosted by MRPL is being held at Hotel Ocean Pearl in Mangaluru under the aegis of the Central Vigilance Commission. Rajiv Verma, director, CVC, V Nandakumar, director, Refinery, BHV Prasad, ED, Projects, and B Sudarshan, ED, Refinery of MRPL were among the dignitaries present during the inaugural session of the event.

During the inaugural event, P Daniel spoke about the birth and evolution of CVC and its approach to handling challenges. He gave a gist of activities being promoted by the commission and stressed the need to share knowledge, evolve and leverage the improvements in technology to mitigate corruption. Shyamprasad Kamath welcomed the gathering, and Ganesh Bhat proposed a vote of thanks.

Chief vigilance officers of many CPSE organisations across the country and officers of various organisations who are involved with vigilance activities were present on the occasion along with group general managers, senior officers and the organising team of MRPL.
