Kundapur: Man dies after falling into rivulet while fishing

Kundapur, Aug 11: A man tragically died after falling into a rivulet while fishing at Sastana Kodi. His body was discovered on Saturday morning.

The deceased, identified as Raju Marakala (60), was a resident of Yakshimata near Kota.

He had gone to the Kodi rivulet near his house on August 8 to collect cockles and went missing.

On Saturday morning, local fishermen found his body floating in the same rivulet. They reported the incident to the Kota police station and the gram panchayat. Later, the police, with the assistance of the Jeevanmitra team, retrieved the body from the water.
