Mangaluru, Aug 12: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has announced its annual book awards for Konkani language books. For the year 2022, ‘Paying Guest’ by Roshan Melky Sequeira Bajpe (Roshu Bajpe) has been selected in the short story category, and ‘Jiren Mirin’ by Fr Francis Alangar has been chosen for the article category.
The award includes a cash prize of Rs 25,000, along with fruits, a shawl, a memento, a garland, and a certificate.
The award ceremony will take place at the Town Hall in Mangaluru on August 20 at 4 pm.
