Udupi, Aug 12: Innovation exhibition held at Lords International School, Udupi, at school premises on August 12.

Dr Vijayendra Rao, general dental practitioner, inaugurated the event symbolically by switching on the light. In his inaugural note he said, “I always prefer talking to parents than students. I feel ashamed when I see students' projects, because when I was a kid I used to go to shops to ask for needed items, fix it and then submit the project. A lot of people have dreams. We should run behind the dream we see at night.”

“The word STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Students should be like stem cells of medical science, make use of knowledge and let it flow in all the corners. The knowledge imparted to students should be used in the right direction. The advantage of a STEM lab is that the student can transform into any kind of profession.

Dr Vijayendra, stating a story described how to use knowledge. “Along with being highly equipped with technology, we should protect the environment,” he said.

Dr Abhin Devdas Shriyan, trustee of Lords International School, in his words, mentioned being able to go back to school life and be part of all these events.

Shaurya, student of Grade 1, Arya Adaithya of Grade 5 and Ruhaan of Grade 8 introduced and displayed their project.

Principal Myrtle L F Lewis welcomed the gathering and briefed about the STEM lab. Akhila, faculty proposed a vote of thanks. Swara, a student, mastered the ceremony.

Chairman of Kediyoor Educational Trust, Bhuvanendra Kediyoor, treasurer of school Dr Bhavyashree B Kediyoor, teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
