Mangaluru: Johan Salil Mathias wins Mr Teen Super Globe title in Thailand

Mangaluru, Aug 13: Johan Salil Mathias, a 2nd-year BCA-AI student at Milagres college,Mangaluru, has achieved international recognition by winning the prestigious Mr Teen Super Globe title in Thailand. The event, a part of the Fashion Runway series, saw participants from 12 countries, including India, Indonesia, UAE, Oman, otswana, South Africa, and Nepal.

Johan’s journey to the international stage began earlier this year in April, when he was titled as the 1st runner-up at the Eclectic International Beauty Pageant, organized by The Urban Edge at Dubai.

He later took part in The Fashion Runway beauty pageant held in Calicut, where he secured first place in the competition, earning him a spot to represent India in the teen category.

The event in Thailand kicked off on August 7, when Johan and other contestants arrived from various countries. The competition featured a series of events designed to showcase the participants' talents, culture, and intellect. After a meet-and-greet session, the contestants were groomed and participated in a talent show where Johan impressed the judges with his karate skills.

The following day featured a cultural exhibition, where participants presented traditional foods, clothing, and monuments from their countries. Johan, representing India, contributed to the vibrant display of global cultures. The competition also included a safari trip and a visit to a marine park, adding an element of adventure to the experience.

The grand finale took place on August 10 at the Bazaar Theatre, a stunning venue where Johan and other contestants showcased their traditional attire and participated in the final rounds of the competition. Johan’s overall performance impressed the judges, culminating in his victory as Mr Teen Super Globe.

Johan’s wardrobe for the event was exclusively designed & styled by Hera Pinto Couture, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to his appearance on the international stage. Johan's achievement not only brings pride to his family—mother Juliet Fernandez, father Johnson Mathias, and sister Jennifer Mathias—but also marks a significant milestone in his modeling career.
