Kasargod: NITK Surathkal student killed in car mishap, 3 others injured

Kasaragod, Aug 17: In a tragic car accident near Peruttadi, close to Ranipur, a student was killed and three others were injured on Saturday, August 17, in the afternoon.

The deceased, Aree Buddin (21), a student from Surathkal NITK and a resident of Raichur, was found dead at the scene. The injured individuals have been taken to a hospital in Poodankal for treatment.

The accident occurred when four engineering students were travelling to the tourist destination Ranipur in an Alto car. The vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a roadside ditch.

Local residents and Rajapur police responded quickly, rescuing the trapped passengers.

The body of Aree Buddin has been transported to the mortuary at Kasaragod District Hospital. The family has been notified, and the body is expected to be handed over to them later in the evening.

    Very sad.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.Young fellow.May his soul rest in peace.Nowadays more people die in road accident car ,bus or scooter etc than any sickness.More vehicles on road than some few years back.Was it too high speed to reach early?
