Kundapur: Married woman who left for work reported missing

Kundapur, Aug 18: Renuka Kharvi (32), a resident of Gangolli and employee at a cloth shop near Shastri Circle in the city, has been reported missing since August 12.

Renuka left for work on the morning of August 12, but when her husband tried to contact her in the evening, her phone was switched off. Upon inquiry, her employer revealed that Renuka did not show up for work that day.

On the morning of August 13, Renuka contacted her brother, informing him that she was in Udupi. When pressed further, she claimed to be in Bengaluru and stated that there was no need to trace her, before switching off her phone again.

Gangolli police are investigating.
