Sullia: Wild elephants spotted in Mandekolu - Residents concerned

Sullia, Aug 25: The wild elephant menace has intensified along the forest border of Ajjavara and Mandekolu villages.

According to locals, a herd of wild elephants has been spotted at night in Denjiguri and Addangaya in Ajjavara village.

The herd was seen on the road in Denjiguri on Friday morning and evening.

Locals reported that seven to eight elephants are camping near human habitation areas.

    Mandekolu in Sullia Taluk is the native place of smiling D.V.Sadananda Gowda, the honorable ex-chief minister of Karnataka. Instead of trying to pull down Mr Siddaramiah's government, DVS can go home and try to tame the elephants.
