Mangaluru: Dist Court acquits accused in 2023 POCSO case due to lack of evidence

Mangaluru, Aug 25: The District Second Additional Sessions Court has acquitted Manu, an accused in a POCSO case from 2023 under Surathkal police station limits.

The case involved allegations of sexually harassing a 16-year-old minor girl. The court acquitted the accused due to the prosecution's failure to provide sufficient evidence against him.

The defense was represented by Mangaluru lawyers K. Prasad Bhandary, Ravikiran M R, and Sahid Mohammed Baddur.
