Karkala: Police arrest accused in home theft, recover stolen valuables

Karkala, Sep 3: Police have arrested Santhosh T (32), a resident of Mala, in connection with a theft that occurred on August 30 at Gurgaal Gudde in Mudaru village.

Gold ornaments weighing 33 sovereigns, worth Rs 10.05 lac, were stolen from a Godrej locker in the bedroom of the house. The thief accessed the house using a key that was kept in a box outside. A complaint was filed at the rural police station.

A special team comprising PSI Dileep, PSI Sundara, and PCs Mahantesh, Prashant K, Shashikumar, Nagaraja, Govinda Achari, Raghavendra, and Ashok was formed to apprehend the culprit.

On September 1, the team arrested the accused, Santhosh, and recovered all the stolen valuables, along with confiscating a motorcycle.

    Wow,Sometimes people also are making thieves light.Just give your number of your ATM and we will make it still light to clear the bank account.Why key of the house should be kept in box outside?Stupidity.Each member of house can have a key ,so avoid further problems.Thief must have known details of house?
