Kundapur, Sep 5: A junior health inspector working at a Karnataka government's primary health centre has ended his life in a private lodge in Kundapur. The deceased has been identified as Prashanth (37) from Shivamogga.
Prashanth, who was married and had a young child, reportedly had issues with alcoholism. He was previously stationed at the Korgi Primary Health Center in Kundapur before being transferred to the Byndoor Community Health Centre.
He had frequently expressed feelings of mental distress and dissatisfaction with his life to his friends, who tried to offer support and advice.
On Thursday, September 5, Prashanth checked into a private lodge in Kundapur, where he was found dead under suspicious circumstances. It is suspected that he may have ingested a toxic substance.
The Kundapur police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
