Kaup, Sep 7: A group of youths dressed in comedian costumes visited various villages and towns during Sri Krishna Janmastami celebrations to collect funds for a charitable cause.

Led by Sachin Shetty, the team from Kaup handed over Rs 14.33 lac, collected during their tour, to Tanula Tarun, head of the Hosa Belaku orphanage in Bailoor Kaudoor, Karkala, on Wednesday.

The team included Sachin, Chethan, Nitesh, Sudeep, and Abhishek, who travelled to Mangaluru and Udupi to gather donations.

They used the orphanage's QR code to ensure transparency with the donors. The costume and makeup expenses were covered by sponsors.
