Moodbidri, Sep 7: Carmel School CBSE joyfully celebrated Teachers' Day on September 5 honoring the tireless dedication and contributions of its educators. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan a revered academician Bharat Ratna recipient, diplomat, and timeless teacher.
The festivities began with a meaningful eucharistic banquet celebrated by Fr Alwyn Pinto SVD who thanked the Lord for the blessings bestowed on each teacher. This spiritual beginning was followed by a vibrant cultural program in the school auditorium. Teacher’s were warmly welcomed by students who were excitedly prepared for a day of fun and celebration. The tiny tots dressed in colorful outfits greeted their teachers with enthusiasm setting the tone for a memorable day.
The formal celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp, one light was lighted unitedly by Sr Gracilda AC the principal along with Clara the teachers representative and students Nia, Jenson Nihal and Aayan Elbaaz. The students conducted a meaningful prayer service, invoking God’s blessings upon their beloved teachers. The teachers were welcomed with heartfelt greeting cards, symbolizing the students' deep appreciation.
The ceremonious occasion was further enlivened by various performances including a welcome song a fusion dance, a mime show, and dedicated songs for the teachers. Every moment was filled with joy and enthusiasm as the teachers cherished the students' efforts.
In her message Sr Gracilda AC praised the students for organizing a wonderful program and extended her heartfelt wishes to all the teachers. She acknowledged their unwavering dedication to the students and the institution quoting Billy Graham: "When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost." Her melodious song further uplifted the spirit of the day leaving a lasting impression on everyone.
The celebration also included outdoor games organized by the student cabinet in which the teachers participated with great joy and excitement. The winners were felicitated adding a competitive yet fun-filled spirit to the day.
In the afternoon the school management arranged a special lunch for the teachers followed by a competition focused on the 'role of teachers in nation-building'. The Parent Teacher Association vice president Jossy Menezes along with the school committee members organized games for the staff which brought laughter and camaraderie among the teachers. The winners were honored with prizes and each teacher received a thoughtful present as a token of love and appreciation from the school.
The entire celebration was a grand success and left behind beautiful memories that will be cherished by all.
