Mangaluru, Sep 7: Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru and The lay faithful commission of the diocese of Mangalore had held a felicitation programme to Anil John Sequeira who has been appointed as judicial officer by the high court of Karnataka. The felicitation programme was held on September 6 at Sambhram Hall, St Anthony's Ashram, Jeppu.
The programme started with a prayer song by Sr Lynet and team. The president of the Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild Santhosh Peter D’Souza, advocate welcomed the gathering. Anil John Sequeira was introduced to the gathering by Deepak D’Souza, advocate.
There afterwards Anil John Sequeira was felicitated by the office bearers of the Konkani Catholic Lawyers Guild and the lay faithful commission of the diocese of Mangalore. Senior advocates M P Noronha and Tony Fernandes also joined in the felicitation and Fr J B Crasta secretary of the the lay faithful commission of the diocese of Mangalore blessed Anil John Sequeira with his words of blessings. M P Noronha Senior advocate expressed his good wishes on behalf of the Konkani Catholic Lawyers’ Guild.
After accepting the felicitation, Anil John Sequeira stated, “Everyone will not be privileged but will have lot of obstacles in life. But strong passionate determination to achieve ones goals will overthrow every obstacles in life.” He called upon the youngsters to be passionate, work hard and achieve theirs dreams and build a strong nation by contributing to the nation’s growth. He expressed his gratitude to his seniors Deepak D’Souza and Naveen S.
Pais advocates with whom he has practiced as a junior. He expressed his gratitude to each and every one who has supported him in his achievement.
Reshma D’Souza advocate proposed the vote of thanks. Lolina Lobo advocate compered the program. The programme ended with the national anthem.
