B Y Vijayendra slams Rahul Gandhi over remarks against PM Modi in US

Bengaluru, Sep 10 (IANS): Karnataka BJP on Tuesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in the US.

Taking to social media X, State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra said, "Rahul Gandhi’s statements in the US reveal how out of touch he is with India's pulse. To claim the people no longer support BJP or Prime Minister Modi is to ignore the mandate given to us for a historic third straight term."

"The people didn’t vote out of fear—they voted for hope, progress, and a stronger future. "Under Prime Minister Modi, we’ve not only upheld the Constitution but made it a living document for every citizen, especially those historically ignored, like with the Citizenship Amendment Act," Vijayendra stated.

He further said, "Ironically, this comes from the same man who tore up a constitutionally passed ordinance in 2013. While Rahul talks about respect, Congress’ legacy is one of division and neglect—from the 1984 Sikh riots to Dalit neglect."

"The BJP and RSS, in contrast, celebrate 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, where diversity is our strength. Leaders from all walks of life—women, Dalits, backward classes—are finding representation in the highest offices, something Congress only paid lip service to. Rahul speaks of love and respect, but Congress has often resorted to negative rhetoric, as seen with the ‘Chaiwala’ and ‘Chowkidar’ jibes," Vijayendra pointed out.

"In contrast, the BJP, through its policies, stands for unity, progress, and development for all, and that is why the people of India trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s leadership," Vijayendra stated.

Rahul Gandhi had stated in the US that "people in India no longer fear BJP or Narendra Modi. The people of India have understood that the Bharatiya Janata Party was attacking the Constitution of India, and the election results have shown that people no longer feared the BJP or Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

Rahul Gandhi made the statement during an interaction with the Indian-American community in Dallas.

Targeting Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Rahul Gandhi said that, the RSS viewed India as "one idea", while his party viewed it as a "multiplicity of ideas".

The diplomatic decorum and maturity does not come naturally to Rahul Gandhi even at this age. It is hence, pertinent to consider law of the land to address the issue and not let India's chances at the hands of natural evolution especially when people have voted him to be leader of the opposition. What is the meaning of the advise anybody can get when a so called leader advises against FDI in India? Most importantly, his allegiance to the country, his belief and his value system diverges significantly with that of India.

How was it OK when Modi went all around the world criticizing the previous government ? Modi is not King, India is a democratic country. There is nothing wrong in informing Indians abroad about what is happening in India. If Modi had not highjacked Indian Media, the truth would have come to open. Did not need the LOP to go and inform the world.

One must pity this man. He goes to utter something in order to win the favour the bosses in Delhi. His days as State Party chief are numbered. All thus is of no use. The Palakkad conclave of Sangh parivar has already decided to ask Modi to retire. He may not even get a place in the Marg Darshak Mandali after the election in four States. And what about this man? He will just be tossed into the dust bin.

US knows Modi much better than you and what is constitution meant for him by banning Modi from stepping into US soil soon after 2002 Godhra blood bath. Can Modi hold similar open press conference anywhere in the world including india and clarify your claim of your rule as per the constitution. Even BBC has reported documentary against Modi but BJP didn’t have the guts nor the proof to charge BBC instead BJP directed income tax officers to raid the BBC office in Delhi as retaliatory measure inspite of BBC asking BJP govt to sue them against the documentary if its false and speculated.

"Chaiwala, chowkidar, Pappu, panauti – these names have gone viral since 2014. Whatever Rahul says, he says from the heart. There is no double standard in it. He doesn’t make false promises, nor does he lie through a teleprompter. Those who talk about changing the Constitution have no respect for it. In the 2024 election, he shattered the dream of those aiming for over 400 seats.”
