Bantwal: Electrician dies after accidental electrocution

Bantwal, Sep 14: In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old electrician lost his life after being accidentally electrocuted in Urkunja, a village in the Bantwal taluk. The victim, identified as Devadas, son of Sadananda Gowda from Nekkila Palke in Uli village, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday evening.

Devadas, who was working as an electrician, had been engaged in wiring work at a house in Urkunja. While working near the main switch outside the house, he accidentally came into contact with a live wire, leading to severe injuries after being electrocuted and falling to the ground.

Locals immediately rushed Devadas to the Bantwal government hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had passed away.

A case has been registered at the Punjalkatte police station, and further investigations are underway.
