New Delhi, Nov 22 (IANS): In keeping with the growing penetration of IT in Tier II and III cities, leading technology and digital lifestyle brand Belkin announced Tuesday the launch of a 24x7 technical support lifeline in Hindi.
"To provide better after-sales service to our customers, we have launched a 24x7 technical support helpline in Hindi. The initiative makes us the first IT company in India to provide this service in the local language," Mohit Anand, Belkin's managing director for the Indian sub-continent, said at a press conference.
The company, which is targeting sales of Rs.250 crore ($48 million), also launched its wired and wireless mice and keyboards that are aimed at completing its wide portfolio of products in the IT peripheral category.
"Since our inception in 2009, Belkin has been able to establish a stronghold in the Indian market. After our success in India, we have begun to establish a strong foothold in the SAARC region. In the year ahead, Belkin plans to consolidate its position as a pioneer in path-breaking technology and innovation combined with greater emphasis on customer-relevant products," Anand said.
The company, which recorded 62 percent growth in 2011 and is targeting 60 percent growth in 2012, "also plans to strengthen its business through an aggressive sales channel expansion in the tier II and III market," Anand added.
