Kasargod: Medical student from Seethangoli dies in Tamil Nadu road accident

Kasargod, Sep 19: A medical student from Seethangoli Kattatadka tragically died in a road accident in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Rasheed (20), a resident of Kattatadka AKG Nagar. He was a second-year MBBS student in Coimbatore. Rasheed was crossing the road around 8 PM to have dinner at a hotel when a speeding tipper truck hit him. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Relatives of Rasheed hurried to Coimbatore after hearing the shocking news, and his father Ahmed, who works in the Gulf, also returned. Rasheed had visited his hometown during vacation and had returned to Coimbatore just a week ago.

    Indeed sad. How did he get medical seat? General merit or through minority quota? Yes, this quota exists and there are really a lot of seats under this quota across the country.
