Kundapur, Sep 19: A school van traveling at high speed lost control while trying to avoid a bike and crashed into an electric pole, leaving the front portion of the vehicle severely damaged. The driver sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The incident occurred on Thursday morning at Tekkatte bus stop on National Highway 66.

Two women passengers in the van also sustained injuries, according to reports. The vehicle belonged to Hemmadi Janata PU College, and the driver's excessive speed is being blamed for the accident. While attempting to avoid a bike, the driver lost control, causing the van to collide with the electric pole on the side of the highway. The impact was so severe that the high mast light pole broke.

Fortunately, no students were on board, preventing a potential disaster. A case has been registered at the Kota police station.
