Mangaluru, Sep 20: WCM (Woman Candidate Master) Shriyana S Mallya has secured the silver medal in the Under-15 Girls FIDE Rated Karnataka State Chess Championship 2024. The event, organized by the Karnataka State Chess Association, took place from September 13 to 15 in Hassan.
Shriyana, a student of Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Mangaluru, hones her chess skills under the guidance of Chess Shoots, Bengaluru. Her impressive performance at the state level has earned her a spot in the upcoming national championship, set to be held in Tamil Nadu.
This achievement further cements Shriyana’s position as one of the rising stars in the chess community.
