Kasargod: Police raid house in Uppala, seize drugs worth Rs 3.5 crore

Kasargod, Sep 20: A police team led by DYSP Manoj conducted a raid on a house in Uppala and seized narcotics worth approximately Rs 3.5 crore. The raid was carried out at a house near Patwadi in Uppala, where MDMA and other narcotics were recovered.

The police have taken a man named Asgar Ali into custody in connection with the case.

On August 30, Abdul Rahim was arrested in Melparamba with 49.33 grams of MDMA. Based on the information obtained from him, the raid on the Uppala house was conducted.

During the raid, three kilograms of MDMA and one kilogram of ganja, stored in cardboard boxes, were seized. In addition, various other drugs and pills were also confiscated.

Police received information that several years ago, the house was purchased and used for drug trafficking.
